Successful open day

21st September 2007

The Hydrogen Office Ltd held its second information day on Thursday 20th September 2007 at East Fife Football Stadium in Methil.

Many local residents – and some from further afield – came along to gain more information about the project, particularly the proposed wind turbine.  Staff from the Hydrogen Office Ltd were on hand to answer general questions about the project, and were supplemented by experts in hydrogen storage (who brought along demonstration kits of the principles of the system) and wind power, and a noise consultant from Hayes Mackenzie, the company that carried out the noise assessment of the wind turbine.  Information sheets were also available, giving the results of the independent assessments on noise, shadow flicker, impact on birds, impact on bats, and the improvement of biodiversity at the site.
